Choose the Service Arrangement That Fits Your Family's Situation
Three clearly scoped services — from a single consultation to a full programme spanning the complete administration period. Each starts with a written ledger and ends with a settled record.
Back to HomeHow the Ledger Methodology Works
Intake Meeting
The family describes the estate situation and provides available documents. We note every item mentioned as a potential ledger row.
Ledger Preparation
We compile the full scope as an itemised ledger: document name, issuing body, response window, office charge and current status.
Active Tracking
Requests are sent and tracked row by row. The family receives updated ledger copies on a fortnightly schedule without needing to enquire.
Closing Record
The case closes with every row either settled or documented as outside administrative scope, and the final ledger handed to the family.
Open Ledger Consultation
A 90-minute consultation that transforms the family's estate situation into a written, itemised ledger. One row for every document to be obtained, the office that issues it, the typical response window and any charge that office levies. Families see the whole administrative picture — and what it involves in terms of time and cost — before agreeing to anything further.
- Printed ledger of all documents, offices and charges
- Office charges and Vestara service fee shown separately
- Timing chart showing typical response window per body
- Rows identifying items that require an independent professional firm
Best for: Families who want a clear picture of the full administrative scope before deciding on next steps.
Ledger-Managed Document Retrieval
Retrieval work run against the ledger over a ten-week period. Each row is updated as a request is submitted, acknowledged and then answered. A copy of the updated ledger is reissued to the family every fortnight so the family always has a current picture of where every item stands — without needing to call or write to find out. Correspondence for submission to offices is drafted for the family's review and signature.
- Fortnightly ledger reissues across the full ten weeks
- All correspondence drafted and ready for family signature
- Indexed folder growing row by row as documents arrive
- Attestation coordination included where required
- Closing ledger with every row settled or explained
Best for: Families managing multiple parallel document requests who want structured tracking and regular written updates.
Full Estate Ledger Programme
A complete programme maintaining a master ledger across the whole administration period — seven to eleven months, with fortnightly contact. The master ledger covers inventory rows, document rows, correspondence rows and charge rows. Monthly reconciliation meetings with minutes keep the family and any professional firm they have engaged fully aligned. The programme closes with a final bound and digital ledger that provides a permanent administrative record of the entire process.
- Master ledger in bound and digital form throughout
- Monthly reconciliation meetings with written minutes
- Complete document archive and correspondence register
- Translation and attestation coordination
- Closing walkthrough of every ledger section with the family
Best for: Estates requiring a long administration period, or where several relatives need a consistent, documented account of progress.

Standards Applied Across All Services

No work begins without a written and signed ledger in the family's possession. Scope changes are documented as ledger amendments.
Referral Integrity
Items requiring qualified practitioners are marked in the ledger and not attempted. Referral notes specify the category of firm needed.
